About Joanne

Being a fun and lively individual I love the natural photos that I capture during relaxed portrait sessions. I also love getting candid photographs at weddings and events when people are just enjoying themselves, not worried about posing and holding a cheesy smile.

My passion for photography developed during a 7 month trip around the world. I enjoyed being able to immortalise the amazing places I was visiting in an image that would trigger vivid memories for years to come.   I have always had a good eye for setting pictures, although I didn't realise just how unique this was until I handed my camera to other tourists who regularly cut out the temples or mountains behind us when we asked them to take our picture.

On my return home I began honing my camera skills by practising on friends and family. I attended professional photography courses where I learnt about using the camera to capture the picture I wanted to create, and how to take a great picture in difficult lighting situations. It was during this time that my skills behind the lens caught up to help me become an all round photographer.

After my first wedding, I realised that I had an aptitude for photographing youngsters as we had fun playing outside and getting a variety of natural shots.  Since then I have specialised in photographing toddlers and family portraits.

After finding out I was expecting my first child, I started to expand my portfolio to include bumps and babies. I really enjoy taking these photos and turning them into those special wall hangings which the families will cherish for a lifetime.

I aim to provide photos that you will love - I don't believe in a hard sell - If you love the photos I hope you'll buy them. So far I haven't had any negative response and I aim to keep it that way
